Do You Care What Your Obituary Says?

The Upper Hand #9

Do you care what’s written on your obituary?

Personally, I’ve never thought about it.

Then earlier on, a woman I follow tweeted out that her new years goal was to write her obituary and then live by those values.

What would you like to be remembered for?

My first reaction was, it doesn’t make any difference to me, I’ll be gone.

Then I sat with the idea, when we think of dying, we imagine ourselves old and grey, having lived the life we always imagine we’ll get around to.

Unfortunately, that’s not guaranteed.

If I died today, what kind of man would my friends and family tell my daughter I was?

How would my wife remember me?

The truth is, the only thing I would want all of them them to know is that I loved them and that they were my world.

How do I live that?

Enjoy the little moments EVERYDAY, do not take them for granted.

Tell them I love them every chance I get.

Simple.

Oh and I would like them to mention that I loved every Dog I ever met but I loved Arlo a little more.

Talk tomorrow you BEAUTIFUL Fucks!
