The Upper Hand #26

It felt like I was getting run over in my Highstakes Tournaments the past couple days.

Poker is a funny game.

It’s also such a beautifully complex game.

When I’m studying and grinding hard, my confidence soars.

Mistakes will still be made.

Lots of them.

Nobody is playing anywhere near perfect.

But everytime a close spot comes up, I’m happy to trust my gut, go with that first instinct.

When I’m feeling rusty, I question everything.

I dwell on hands.

Studying the spots I struggled with, for the most part, my logic was sound.

It was just one of those days where things didn’t go my way.

It reminded of this quote;

This week I’m zoning in on making the best decisions I’m capable of.

Hands will undoubtedly be butchered.

BUT I SHALL NOT DWELL ON THEM MID-GAME!

Then we’ll learn from our mistakes during our study.

Excited to play a Sunday session tomorrow
